Hold Codes in Inventory identify the reason that a Ticket cannot be posted. They are used to prevent unposted tickets from being posted.

Hold | A hyperlink that shows the value ID of the 'Hold Code' property on the recordcode. Clicking on the link opens the record view for the selected Hold code. This defaults to blank for new records and is required. If not assigned, the message "Blank Hold Codes are not allowed." will be displayed on Save. This value This is required and must be unique by 'Transaction Type. If not unique, the message "Duplicate Hold Codes are not allowed." will be displayed on Save. This field is always editable from the record view. The 'Hold' ID is used as a short description and unique identifier of the Hold Code.
