Header Fields (aka Parent Fields) refer to fields that live at the Parent Level for objects that form a hierarchy. For example, consider a Sales Order with 5 line items. Fields such as the Customer ID, Payment Terms, Purchase Order, and Order Date would be considered Parent Data and live on the Header whereas fields such as Item ID, Price, and Quantity which are unique to each line item would be considered a Child Record.
