Notes List View
Notes are used throughout the system to add, edit, and save text to transactions and master files. Various transactions and master files support 'Note Types' that allow users to further classify/organize notes. The purpose of the Notes List View is to show all the areas of the software that support Notes. Users are unable to add new Note Types but they can be added by emailing NLP Support. Notes are used throughout the application to add more detail to Master Files and Transactions.

Toolbar Icons | Description |

Favorites | Clicking on the star icon when it is an outline, adds the page to the 'My Shortcuts' tab and fills in the star. Clicking on the star icon when it is filled in (solid color), removes the page from the 'My Shortcuts' tab and returns the icon to an outline. Users must log out and back in before the pages will be visible in the 'My Shortcuts' tab. |
Grid Layout | Opens the Saved Grid Layout menu that allows the user to select another saved layout, create a new layout, save changes to a layout, or assign a saved layout as the default for the page. Once changes are made to a grid, such as columns are added or removed, the user can click the Saved Grid Layout icon and save the changes to the grid layout and name the new layout. The new layout can also be set as the default, instead of the System View. This is useful for creating specific views to separate master files or transaction types (i.e. Invoice specific vs. Credit Memo specific). The bolded view is the default view, which will determine the view will automatically display in when opened. |
Help | Opens the online WIKI help page for the current page. This icon is only visible on pages that are documented in the online help. |
Fields | Description |
Module | A label to show the source module of the transaction that the reason code(s) belong to. This is a system controlled list and users cannot add or remove transactions from this list. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFNoteType.ModuleSK. |
Type | A label to show which Transaction and or Master File the Reason Code is used. The 'Where Used' and 'Type' columns work together to identify which transaction and/or master file as well as where on the record the Reason Code applies to. This is a system controlled list and users cannot add or remove transactions from this list. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFNoteType.NoteType. |
