Users List View

Users represent individual logins with access to NorthScope. The number of concurrent users that can be logged into the system at any given time is based on the number of user licenses purchased. Users typically represent individuals but can also be setup by job function (e.g., Scale House, Shipping) in companies where more than one user performs the same tasks on different shifts. There is no limit to the number of users that can be added, but your license controls how many can be logged in concurrently. There is no limit to the number of users that can be added, but your license controls how many can be logged in concurrently. The purpose of this page is to add, edit, remove, and log out users.

Toolbar IconsDescription
DeleteDeletes the selected record(s). When clicked, users will be prompted with: "Are you sure you want to delete the selected records?". Click "OK" to confirm, or "Cancel" to return without deleting. 

WARNING: Records cannot be recovered once they are deleted!

EditOpens the selected record for editing. If a record is not selected, the page will not open.
Excel Clicking the Excel toolbar icon exports the current contents of the grid to an Excel file that is automatically downloaded. The contents that export are only those currently visible. If the grid is filtered, only the filtered contents will be exported. 
Favorites Clicking on the star icon when it is an outline, adds the page to the 'My Shortcuts' tab and fills in the star. Clicking on the star icon when it is filled in (solid color), removes the page from the 'My Shortcuts' tab and returns the icon to an outline. 

(lightbulb) Users must log out and back in before the pages will be visible in the 'My Shortcuts' tab.

Grid LayoutOpens the Saved Grid Layout menu that allows the user to select another saved layout, create a new layout, save changes to a layout, or assign a saved layout as the default for the page. Once changes are made to a grid, such as columns are added or removed, the user can click the Saved Grid Layout icon and save the changes to the grid layout and name the new layout. The new layout can also be set as the default, instead of the System View. This is useful for creating specific views to separate master files or transaction types (i.e. Invoice specific vs. Credit Memo specific).

(lightbulb) The bolded view is the default view, which will determine the view will automatically display in when opened. 

HelpOpens the online WIKI help page for the current page. 

(lightbulb) This icon is only visible on pages that are documented in the online help.

LogoutLogs out the selected user(s). This effectively clears the Last Activity for the user(s).
NewOpens a new blank record for data entry.
FieldsDescription
CheckboxUsed to select one or more records for delete or mass update.
CompaniesThe count of how many Companies the User has been given Access to. To be considered having Access to a Company, it is only required that the 'Access' checkbox has been selected, not that a Security Group as been assigned for the Company. This is a calculated field and is not linked to a database field.
Default Company

A label that displays the Company Name of the Company ID that has been set on the 'Default Company' property. This controls which Company a user is first logged into each time. This is only functional for users that have access to more than one company.

EmailA label to show the email that user uses as their login. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFUser.Email 
First NameA label to show the first name of the User. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFUser.FirstName
Home Page

A label to show the default page the user automatically opens each time they log into the system. There can be one Home Page for each company the user has access to.

Last Activity

A label to show the date and time that a logged in user, last did anything in the system. This is helpful to identify users that never logged out and is the value used by the "Log Users Out After Minutes" System Preference to determine who to automatically log out.

Last NameA label to show the last name of the User. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFUser.FirstName
License

A label to show which License Type the user belongs to (System or Portal). System User Licenses allow access to the entire system and Portal User Licenses only allow access to Reports and Inquiries. This is only editable on New Users.

PhoneA label to show the phone number of the User. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFUser.Phone
Security Group

A label to show the Security Group that has been assigned to the User for each Company they have access to. There can be one Security Group per combination of User and Company the user has access to.
