NS-13117 - Fisherman Transaction Inquiry: One More Column, One Less Guess
We’ve added a new column to the Fisherman Transaction Inquiry: Is Fully Settled.
It appears right where it makes sense—after Net Balance and before Status—and it’s visible by default.
Translation: you no longer have to squint at balances and mentally decode whether something is fully settled. NorthScope will just tell you. Clear, direct, and no detective work required.
NS-13125 - Vessels: Uppercase, Lowercase, Your Choice
Previously, if you tried to edit a Vessel name and only changed the capitalization—say from THE BERSERKER to The Berserker—NorthScope would politely pretend you changed nothing at all. The edit was allowed, but case-only changes were ignored, leaving your carefully corrected vessel name exactly as it was before.
We’ve fixed that. You can now update the Vessel name, even if the only change is the letter casing. If you want it uppercase, lowercase, or somewhere in between, NorthScope will respect your decision.
Because sometimes it’s not what you say—it’s how you capitalize it.
NS-13169 - Fisherman Balance Details: One More Column, One Less Mystery
We’ve added a new Fisherman Class column to the Fisherman Balance Details inquiry.
It displays by default and appears right between Account Type and Trans Type, exactly where you’d expect it if you were looking for it.
Now you can see a fisherman’s class directly in the inquiry without jumping to another screen or playing the “where is that stored again?” game. Clearer visibility, fewer clicks, better context.
NS-13261 & NS-13396 - Fish Tickets: Because Details Matter (Especially the Cold, Hard Ones)
We’ve enhanced the Fish Ticket List Views and Inquiries to surface a little more of the story behind each ticket.
You’ll now see the Average Temperature pulled directly from the ticket’s RSW Temperatures section. No more drilling in just to confirm how things were running below deck.
We’ve also added Dual Permit information (when applicable) to these List Views and Inquiries, so you don’t have to hunt it down elsewhere.
More visibility. Fewer clicks. And one less excuse for pretending you didn’t notice the temperature creeping up.
NS-13326 - eLandings Integration: A Little More Precise, A Little Less Over-Sharing
We’ve made a couple of targeted updates to the NorthScope → Alaska Department of Fish and Game eLandings integration to keep data cleaner and more aligned with how eLandings expects to receive it.
First, the NorthScope Delivery Number will now be included in the outbound integration’s Tender Batch element (when it has a value). Because eLandings allows a maximum of 15 characters, we’ll send only the first 15 if the Delivery Number is longer. The full value will still be visible in NorthScope—we’re just trimming what gets sent out so eLandings doesn’t complain.
Second, exports to eLandings will now include only Fish Ticket items with a Disposition ID of 60 (Sold). Items with any other Disposition ID will stay in NorthScope and won’t be exported. This keeps the integration focused strictly on what eLandings actually needs, instead of sending extra data and hoping for the best.
In short: cleaner exports, fewer surprises, and better alignment between NorthScope and eLandings—because integrations work best when both sides agree on what’s actually supposed to be there.
NS-13375 - Fishermen & Tenders: Now with a Memory
We’ve added a little more accountability (the good kind) to the Fishermen and Tenders and Fishermen Addresses list views.
Four new audit columns are now available in both views:

So, if you’ve ever wondered, “Who changed this?” or “When did that get updated?” — you no longer must guess or start asking around. The answers are right there on screen.

NS-13453 - ADFG Landing Type: Making Room for the “Miscellaneous” Crowd
Not everything that comes off a boat fits neatly into a salmon-shaped box. So, we’ve added support for the ADFG Landing Type “M – Miscellaneous”, making it possible to integrate tickets for Sea Cucumbers or Geoducks.
You can now create your own Ticket Classes in NorthScope tied to the “Miscellaneous” ADFG Landing Type, giving you the flexibility to handle species that don’t live in the usual categories.

NS-13205 - Fisherman Sales: Because “One at a Time” Is for Masochists
Updating Price Lists on Fisherman Sales used to mean opening records one by one like it was 1998 and we all had unlimited patience. Not anymore.
There’s a new Mass Update option: “Change Price List and Update Price.”
Here’s how it behaves (and yes, it behaves):
Pick a Price List, and NorthScope will apply it to the selected/filtered Fisherman Sales and update the item prices accordingly.
Choose (Clear Value), and the Price List is removed — but your existing prices are left alone. No surprise re-pricing.
Select the same Price List that’s already there? That simply re-applies the pricing from that list. Think of it as telling NorthScope, “No, really — do it again.”
So, whether you’re correcting prices, switching lists, or just cleaning up after someone who “meant to get to that later,” you can now handle it in bulk.
NS-13285 - Chum/Red Split: It’s Not Just a Two-Fish World Anymore
For a while now, the Chum/Red split feature in Fisherman Accounting has let you key or import a Mixed Fish item, then use Mass Update → Chum % to define how much of that mix is actually Red. Need to tweak it later? No problem — just “re-chum” it and update the percentage again.
That worked great… if the world only contained Chum and Red.
We’ve expanded the feature, so it now supports additional salmon species: Pink, Coho, and King. Mixed Fish entries can now be split more realistically across the species you’re actually dealing with, instead of forcing everything into a two-bucket universe.
And while we were in there improving the Mass Update screen, we also added Headland and Chill Type as available Mass Update options. Not directly related to species splits—we just took the opportunity to make bulk updates a little more powerful while we had the hood open.
Same familiar process. More species.
NS-13380 - Fishermen Permits: Because “Check Them One by One” Wasn’t a Strategy
If you’ve ever tried to answer the simple question, “What permits do we actually have?” by clicking into fishermen records one at a time… congratulations, you’ve been doing unnecessary cardio.
We’ve added a new Fishermen Permits List View to Fisherman Accounting that puts all permits in one centralized screen. Every permit. Every fisherman. No scavenger hunt required.
You can review the details at a glance and use grouping to slice things up however you need—by permit type, by fisherman, by whatever makes sense.
So instead of playing “Guess Who Has the Permit,” you now get a clean, consolidated view. Less clicking. Less guessing. More actually knowing.

NS-13153 - External Attachments: Giving Integrations a Place to Put Their Files
NorthScope now allows external partner systems to attach files directly to transactions—just as if a user had uploaded them through the NorthScope UI. The external system doesn’t need to understand NorthScope’s internal notes or attachment structure; it can simply send the file, and NorthScope will handle it appropriately.
This capability is initially available for Fish Ticket integrations, enabling external systems to create a Fish Ticket and attach any relevant files to that transaction as part of the integration process.
The goal isn’t automation for its own sake—it’s flexibility. If a partner system has documents that belong with a transaction in NorthScope, there’s now a clean and supported way to attach them.

NS-13490 - eLandings Downloads: Not Everything Is a Number
Downloading Fish Tickets from ADFG eLandings was occasionally blowing up with the ever-helpful message:
“Error converting data type varchar to numeric.”
After some digging, we discovered the issue was based on an overly optimistic assumption—that Condition and Sold Condition IDs would always be numeric. Turns out, the real world does not care about our assumptions.
We’ve corrected the logic so Fish Ticket downloads no longer choke when those IDs aren’t strictly numeric.
Bottom line: eLandings downloads should now complete cleanly, even when the data refuses to fit neatly into a numbers-only worldview.
NS-13612 - Fisherman Sales & Tender Resales: Mass Update Learns to Post Again
A few releases ago, we proudly moved Fisherman Sales and Tender Resales into the NorthScope 3.0 framework. As part of that upgrade, we modernized the Mass Update process, so it used the same save procedure as the main Record View. The idea was noble: one consistent way to save data, fewer weird discrepancies, everyone happy.
And it worked… right up until you mass updated more than one transaction to the Posted status. Then the Settlement and Journal Entry posting processes decided they had other plans.
We’ve corrected the issue so Posting multiple transactions using Mass Update works as you expect. Settlements and their related Journal Entries will now function properly, whether you post one record or a whole batch.
