  • User Defined Attributes

Creating New Quality Test Results

New quality test results can be created from the Quality Test Results List View or from Production Batch Records.

Option 1 Quality Test Results List View

To create a new quality test result from the Quality Test Result List View, navigate to the Inventory module and expand the Quality menu. Select Quality Test Results. This opens the Quality Test Results List View, which displays all open quality test results.

Click New from the toolbar to open a new Quality Test Result Record and enter the following details:

Test Class: Select the appropriate test class. This field is a required field and the drop-down menu includes test classes defined in Attribute Classes (Company > Attribute Classes > Quality Test Class).

Test ID: Enter the test ID. This field is a required field. Duplicate test IDs are not allowed for the same test class.

Testing Began: Select the start day of the testing from the date picker. This field is not required.

Testing Complete: Select the end day of the testing from the date picker. This field is not required.

Status: Select the status. The status field defaults to Open and the field cannot be blank.

When the data is entered, click Save from the toolbar to create the record. After the record is saved, a new section 'Test Results' is displayed. The fields in the Test Results section are user defined attributes associated with the Test Class and they can be configured to be required or not. Required test result fields are marked with the text ‘Required’. Save the record when the appropriate test results have been entered.

Updating Production Batch with Quality Test Result

In order to update production batches with quality test results, navigate to Inventory > Production Batches. Open the appropriate Production Batch Record and enter the ID of the quality test to the Quality Test ID field. Save the record. The Quality Test ID field is now populated in the Production Batches List View. This field is displayed as a hyperlink, which opens the quality test result record.

The Quality Class on Production Batch Records defaults to the item’s Quality Class, but this can be updated if needed. The Quality Class can be changed on the Production Batch Record or using the Mass Update feature on the Production Batch List View.

Option 2 Creating New Quality Test Results from Production Batch Records

New quality test results can be created from Production Batch Records. Navigate to Inventory > Production Batches. Open the appropriate Production Batch Record and enter the ID to the Quality Test ID field. Save and close the Production Batch Record. The new quality test result is displayed as a link in the Quality Test ID field. Open the Quality Test Record by clicking the link. Enter the appropriate details to properties and test results fields and save the record. If the record is saved as open, it appears in the Quality Test Results List View.

Note:  The Test Class defaults to the item’s Test Class and it cannot be changed on the record. If the Test Class is changed on the Production Batch Record, a new Quality Test Result Record is created unless there is no existing record for the test class & test ID combination.

Editing Quality Test Results

Open Quality Test Result Records can be edited in the list view or by opening the test result record from the Production Batches List View or from the Quality Test Results List View. To edit test results in the Quality Test Results List View, click Edit from the toolbar. The list view is changed into edit mode, which allows users to edit multiple records simultaneously. Once the appropriate edits have been done, click Save from the toolbar to save the changes.

To edit individual Quality Test Result Records from the Quality Test Results or Production Batches List Views, click the Test ID hyperlink. This opens the test result record. The Test Class field is not editable, but the other field can be edited. Once the appropriate edits have been done, click Save from the toolbar to save the changes.

Note: Closing a Quality Test Result Record removes the record from the Quality Test Results List View, but it does not prevent users from assigning it to production batches.
