Deploy Reports | Opens the Deploy Reports page which allows users to select one or more reports to deploy/ re-deploy to the report server. | ||||
Download | Opens a drop-down menu for the user to select which type of file to download. The options include: "Download RDL", "Download Query", and "Download Report Package". Choosing Download RDL will download the RDL (Report Definition Language) file, which is a file extension for an XML file used on Microsoft SQL Server reporting services. If Download Query is selected, a zip file containing the SQL file/s used to create the associated report will be downloaded and if Download Report Package is selected, a .rpt file (named .nsrpt in NorthScope) which is a report file format will be downloaded for the associated report. | Edit | |||

Allowed Formats | Identifies the available file formats that the associated report can be exported in from the Print Dialog window. This is a single select lookup that defaults to blank on New. This field is required else the message 'At least one allowed format must be specified' will be displayed on Save. This is always editable and affects the format that the user can export the report in from the Print Dialog window for example. The lookup contains: PDF, Word, Excel, CSV. Description | ADD DEF/ GLOBAL CONTROL HERE. This is a text box that defaults to blank on New and allows the user to enter information pertaining to the report that is useful to users and the company. This field is not required and must be <= 1000 characters. This is always editable and will be visible for reports set to be located on the Reports Page. Display Name | Identifies the name of the report that is shown on the associated Reports List View or Print Dialog window. This is required and can be edited from the record view. It a text box that defaults to blank on New and allows the user to enter a name for the report that will be displayed to the user. This field is required and must be <= 50 characters and . If left blank, this will default to the 'Report Name' value. This is always editable. Note: The editability rules do not apply to 'Direct Print' type reports. Form | ADD DEF/ GLOBAL CONTROL HERE. This is a single select lookup that defaults to blank and is disabled on New until the Location type 'Print Dialog' is selected. This field is not required, however if a value is not selected the associated report will not be displayed in any print dialog window. Report Name | Identifies the name of the associated report | that the user entered on the Record View. This is | required and must be <= 50 characters. This field is not editable after save.Status | Identifies the status of the report. For standard reports shipped with NorthScope, the status will default to 'Not Deployed' until the user deploys it. Reports that are manually added by the user, if successful, will save as 'Deployed'. Reports that are not found on the report server or their location is not in the standard location will display a status of 'Unknown'a text box that defaults to blank on New and allows the user to enter a name for the report, this value is not visible to the user.
