Note Types are used to separate notes by function and/or purpose. For example, there may be different types of notes you want to put on a Sales transaction like an Internal note, a note you want to print on the Invoice, and a note you want to print on the Pick Sheet. Note Types allow you to separate and organize these. Integration Mode identifies how often the Integration records are pushed out or pulled in for records that hit the 'Integration Trigger'.
