The amount of new/additional cost of for a Lot that posts to the Cost History and the General Ledger. This is calculated using the amount specified in the 'Distributed Amt.' and converting it to a to a 'Lot Cost Rate', which is then used to calculate the 'Lot Cost Amt.'.

For example, if you needed to distribute a total cost of $517.35 to a Lot, you would enter that as the 'Distributed Amt.'.  If that Lot contained 2,103 lbs, the rate/lb would calculate as 0.2460057061. However, because the 'Lot Cost Rate' is limited to 5 digits, it would get rounded to 0.24601. When this rate is applied back to the 2,103 lbs the result would be a 'Lot Cost Amt. 'of $517.36 leaving a 'Variance Amt.' of ($0.01) that must be accounted for.
