Deploying a report is the process that installs it on the Report Server, making it accessible within NorthScope to users, based on their report access rights. This page is launched from the Manage Reports page by clicking the 'Deploy Reports' header toolbar iconIf no reports were selected when the icon is clicked, the page will open with all the reports that have not yet been deployed (status of "Not Deployed") listed in the Grid. If one or more reports were selected when the icon is clicked, the page will open with those reports listed in the Grid.

Server

Displays the URL of the report server.  

Database Field: ERPx_MFSysPreferences WHERE PreferenceName = 'ReportServerURL'

Data Source

Displays where Identifies the data that is being used to run the report is originating fromData Source that SSRS connects to for generating the report

Report Folder

Displays the folder name within the Report Server where the physical report file (RDL) is located or will be deployed to on the report server

Toolbar Icons
Description
Deploy ReportsSelecting a report one or more reports and clicking this toolbar icon will deploy the corresponding report the 'Deploy Reports' icon deploys them to the report server, assuming there are no errors. 
Re-Deploy DataSourceSelecting a report and clicking this toolbar one or more reports and clicking the 'Re-Deploy DataSource' icon will re-deploy the corresponding report.

Current Version 


Identifies the existing version of the report on the server.  If the report does not currently exist on the report server, this field will be blank.  If a version of the report exists on the server an eight digit number will be displayed representing the associated date for that report.  For example, 20200529 would mean the current version is May 29th 2020.  This field is never editable. 

Database Field: ERPx_RSReportDefinition.VersionNumber

Error

Displays a message to the user with any known issues with the report prior to it being deployed. 

Latest Version

Identifies the most recent version of the report.  If the report does not currently exist on the report server, this field will be blank.  If a version of the report exists on the server an eight digit number will be displayed representing the most recent date for that report.  For example, 20200529 would mean the latest version is May 29th 2020.   This field is never editable. 

Database Field: ERPx_RSReportDefinition.VersionNumber

On Report Server

Identifies whether or not the report exists on the report server.  This field displays 'Yes' when the report exists on the report server and is blank when it does not.  This field is never editable.  

Report Name

Identifies the report file name (RDL Name) of the

Status

Identifies the current status of the report.  If the user does not select any reports and clicks the 'Deploy Reports' button from the Manage Reports List View, the page will display all the reports that have not yet been deployed and the status field for each report will display For standard reports shipped with NorthScope, the status will default to 'Not Deployed' .  If the user selects a report that has already been deployed, the Status field will display until the user deploys it. Reports that are manually added by the user, if successful, will save as 'Deployed'.   For reports that have had their location updated and therefore cannot be Reports that are not found on the report server or the their location is not in the standard location (trusted location ), the status will display "Unknown"a status of 'Unknown'  Reports Reports that are not able to be deployed, usually because no report definition exists, will display the status 'Error'.   This field is required and never editable by the user.

Use in Company

Identifies which Company/Companies within NorthScope has will have access to , after the selected report after it is (s) are deployed.  This is a single multi select lookup that defaults to the value that was selected on the record view for the associated report. This field is not required, however if no company is selected the report will not be available for use within NorthScope.
