A new column “Functional Area” was added to be visible by default. The Functional Area column replaced the Source Module column and the “GL Period” / “GL Year” columns are now labeled as “Fiscal Period” / “Fiscal Year”.

NS-7418 View button improvements on Financial Inquiries

A few weeks ago, we made some improvements to some of the Financial Inquiries which included a new ‘View’ button, however the records being opened from this button were opening on top of the inquiry page, so we have changed this so that those pages will now open in a new tab.

We also added the ‘View’ button to the GL Account Balances by Period and Journal Line History Inquiry so now users can drill all the way through from an account’s total balance to the account balance by fiscal period, to the journal lines associated with a specific fiscal period, right down to the specific journal and transaction associated with that journal line item.  Users can easily view all this information at once since we open each page in a new tab while having the original inquiry open!

Additionally, the Search or Account field are no longer required, so you can just click Refresh after opening the page to view your data.

NS-7397 and NS-7401 Saved Search Options and Saved Column Layout improvement

If you wanted to have a saved search option or column layout but also wanted to be able to see the default options/layout, you can now view this by clearing any saved options/layout by clicking the small ‘x’ within the textbox where the name of your saved option/layout is displayed, or by backspacing out the name.  Additionally, just in case the user accidentally clicked the ‘Forget Layout’ button for a Saved Search Option / Column Layout (which deleted it immediately) we have added a prompt to ensure this is what the user wants to do, with ‘OK’ and ‘Cancel’ options.
