INTRODUCTION

This NorthScope Mobile Privacy Policy (also referred to as the ‘Privacy Policy’) provides information on the collection, use, and sharing (collectively referred to ‘processing’ or ‘process’) as of personal information by Northlake Partners, LLC. and its affiliates (“NLP”, “NorthScope Mobile”, “we” or “us”) in connection with your use of NorthScope Mobile. This Privacy Policy also explains the privacy rights you have in relation to these processing activities.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on March 18, 2021. However, the Privacy Policy can change over time, for example to comply with legal requirements or to meet changing business needs.

Google Play Store (Google LLC)

NorthScope Mobile is distributed on the Google Play Store, a platform for the distribution of mobile apps, provided by Google LLC.

By virtue of being distributed via this app store, Google collects usage and diagnostics data and share aggregate information with Northlake Partners, LLC.. Much of this information is processed on an opt-in basis.

Users may opt-out of this analytics feature directly through their device settings. More information on how to manage analysis settings can be found on this page.

Apple App Store (Apple Inc.)

NorthScope Mobile is distributed on Apple's App Store, a platform for the distribution of mobile apps, provided by Apple Inc.

By virtue of being distributed via this app store, Apple collects basic analytics and provides reporting features that enables Northlake Partners, LLC. to view usage analytics data and measure the performance of NorthScope Mobile. Much of this information is processed on an opt-in basis.

NorthScope Mobile processes information about you collected on the mobile application.

Specific pieces of information about you that NorthScope Mobiles collects and processes includes:

  • information about a device you use, such as browser, device type, operating system, screen resolution, and the preferred language;

  • location data through your operating system’s geolocation features;

  • usage data.

Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC)

The services contained in this section enable NLP to monitor and analyze app traffic and can be used to keep track of User behavior.

Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Analytics is an analytics service provided by Google LLC.
In order to understand Google's use of Data, consult Google's partner policy.

Firebase Analytics may share Data with other tools provided by Firebase, such as Crash Reporting, Authentication, Remote Config or Notifications. The User may check this privacy policy to find a detailed explanation about the other tools used by NLP. 

NorthScope Mobile uses identifiers for mobile devices and technologies similar to cookies to run the Firebase Analytics service.

Users may opt-out of certain Firebase features through applicable device settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile phones or by following the instructions in other Firebase related sections of this privacy policy, if available.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC)

This type of service makes it possible to manage a database of email contacts, phone contacts or any other contact information to communicate with the User.
These services may also collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by the User, as well as when the User interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.

Firebase Cloud Messaging is a message sending service provided by Google LLC. Firebase Cloud Messaging allows the Owner to send messages and notifications to Users across platforms such as Android, iOS, and the web. Messages can be sent to single devices, groups of devices, or specific topics or User segments.

To manage the security of our sites, networks and systems

We may collect site use data for security and operations management to help keep our application secure, or to investigate and prevent potential fraud.

In some cases, we have to process personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations. For example, to respond to a request from a regulator or to defend a legal claim. We may also process personal information in the performance and operation of our business, such as to conduct internal audits and investigations or for finance and accounting and archiving and insurance purposes.

FOR WHAT PERIOD DO WE RETAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION

NorthScope Mobile maintains personal information for the following retention periods:

  • NorthScope Mobile is not designed to store or retain any data. The application is used by the user to request data which is not stored permanently or to submit requests to the NorthScope API and the history of these requests are not stored permanently. The only time data is stored is if the user’s mobile device is offline, in that case if the user is submitting data to the NorthScope API the data will be queued temporarily until the submission is successful.

WHEN AND HOW CAN WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

As part of the NorthScope Mobile platform the data is only shared with the owner of their NorthScope system (the user’s organization) and NorthScope administrators.

HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURED?

NorthScope Mobile has implemented appropriate technical, physical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, as well as all other forms of unlawful processing.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

We provide multiple choices in respect of the information we process about you:

  • Opt-out of our use or sharing of your personal information
    You may withdraw consent you have previously provided for the processing of information about you.

  • Delete personal information
    You can ask us to erase or delete all or some of the information about you.

  • Change or correct personal information
    You can edit some of the information about you by. You can also ask us to change, update or fix information about you in certain cases, particularly if it is inaccurate.

  • Object to, or limit or restrict use of personal information
    You can ask us to stop using all or some of the information about you or to limit our use of it (for example, if the information about you is inaccurate).

  • Right to access and/or have your information provided to you
    You can also ask us for a copy of information about you and can ask for a copy of information about you provided in machine readable form if you reside in the EU, California or other jurisdiction that provides you this right as a matter of law.
