The purpose of the Stat Areas page is to manage all the available areas that define where fish were caught. This master file comes pre-loaded with the Stat Areas as assigned by the Alaska department of Fish & Game (ADF&G). Stat Areas are required on fish tickets that fall under the jurisdiction of the ADF&G. Stat Areas are used on Tickets, Fish Ticket Taxes, and Fish Ticket Premiums. From here, users can add new records, edit ID's and Descriptions of existing records, and activate/inactivate records.

| Favorites |   Clicking on the star icon when it is an outline, adds the page to the 'My Shortcuts' tab and fills in the star. Clicking on the star icon when it is filled in (solid color), removes the page from the 'My Shortcuts' tab and returns the icon to an outline.

| Inactive | A Yes/No field used to identify if the Stat Area is Inactive. If set to 'Yes' then the record is "Inactive" and will not be included in look-ups. Setting this to Inactive only prevents the record from being manually assigned to new transactions or master files, it does not prevent transactions containing this value to be posted. | Stat Area Code | A text box to add or edit the unique identifier of the Stat Area record. This defaults to blank but is required for all records. If missing, the message "Stat Area ID is required." will be displayed on Save. The ID must be unique, otherwise the message "Duplicate Stat Area IDs are not allowed." will be displayed on Save.
