Overview

NorthScope allows for voiding of posted A/R Accounts Receivable Payment Receipts provided they have not been added to a Deposit (if they are on an unposted Deposit, they must be removed and if they are on a Posted Deposit, the Deposit must be voided).

Voids are initiated by selecting the Payment Receipt transaction from the 'Customer Activity Inquiry' found in the Sales inquiries. When an AR Payment Receipt is voided, any applications assigned to the transaction are unapplied and the customer balance is updated accordingly.

Voiding a transaction

The Customer History Inquiry can be accessed from the Customer Balances list view and also from the Sales Order – Reports & Inquiries page. On the Customer Balances list view, select the customer and click View from the toolbar and select Transactions. This opens the Customer History Inquiry filtered for the specific customer. If the inquiry is opened from the Reports & Inquiries page, transactions are displayed for all customers.
