Price Lists List View: Sales

Sales Price Lists are used to store item prices for use on Sales transactions. These price lists can be attached to Customers and/or Customer Addresses so that new orders inherit prices. The purpose of this page is to add, edit, and remove these records.

Toolbar IconsDescription
DeleteDeletes the selected record(s). When clicked, users will be prompted with: "Are you sure you want to delete the selected records?". Click "OK" to confirm, or "Cancel" to return without deleting. 

WARNING: Records cannot be recovered once they are deleted!

Excel Clicking the Excel toolbar icon exports the current contents of the grid to an Excel file that is automatically downloaded. The contents that export are only those currently visible. If the grid is filtered, only the filtered contents will be exported. 
Favorites Clicking on the star icon when it is an outline, adds the page to the 'My Shortcuts' tab and fills in the star. Clicking on the star icon when it is filled in (solid color), removes the page from the 'My Shortcuts' tab and returns the icon to an outline. 

(lightbulb) Users must log out and back in before the pages will be visible in the 'My Shortcuts' tab.

Grid LayoutOpens the Saved Grid Layout menu that allows the user to select another saved layout, create a new layout, save changes to a layout, or assign a saved layout as the default for the page. Once changes are made to a grid, such as columns are added or removed, the user can click the Saved Grid Layout icon and save the changes to the grid layout and name the new layout. The new layout can also be set as the default, instead of the System View. This is useful for creating specific views to separate master files or transaction types (i.e. Invoice specific vs. Credit Memo specific).

(lightbulb) The bolded view is the default view, which will determine the view will automatically display in when opened. 

HelpOpens the online WIKI help page for the current page. 

(lightbulb) This icon is only visible on pages that are documented in the online help.

New

Allows users to select the type of transaction or record they want to add. The list contains:options for:

  • Sales Order Price List
  • Quick Sale Price List
Price Mass UpdateOpens the Price List mass update dialog, which allows to mass update prices across multiple items and/or Price Lists.

CheckboxUsed to select one or more records for delete or mass update.
Currency

Identifies the Currency that the Prices on the Price List are recorded. The assigned 'Currency' restricts the Customers and/or Customer Addresses that can be assigned to the Price List. For example, if the Currency on the Price List is "USD" then the Price List can only be assigned to Customers assigned to "USD" Currency and/or Customer Addresses for Customers that are assigned to "USD". This defaults to the company's Currency, but can be overwritten prior to Save. Currency is always required. If not assigned, the message "Currency is required." will be displayed on Save. Once the record has been created, this field is not longer editable.

This lookup contains a blank value, the current assigned value, and a list of all the 'Active' Currencies that are available for the company

Description

A text box to add/edit the name (long description) of the Price List. This defaults to blank but is required for all records and must be <= 50 characters. If missing, the message "Description is required." will be displayed on Save. The description does not have to be unique.

Freight Included

For Sales Order Price Lists, this is a Yes/No field used to identify if the Prices Include Freight Cost. This is informational only, it does not drive any functionality. This value is editable only for Sales Order Price Lists. 

For Quick Sale Price Lists, this is a system assigned value that is always set to no. This is never editable for Quick Sale Price Lists.

'No' values display as blank in the grid.

Inactive

The value from the 'Inactive' property. If set to 'Yes' then the record is "Inactive" and will not be included in look-ups for transactions or other master files. If set to 'No' then the record is "Active" and can be freely used. 'No' values display as blank in the grid. This value is always editable.

Price List

A hyperlink that shows the value of the 'Price List' property on the the Price List record. Clicking on the link opens the record view for the selected Price List.

This defaults to blank for new records and is required and must be <= 25 characters. If not assigned, the message "Price List is required." will be displayed on Save. This value must be unique across all Price Lists in the same Price List Class. If not unique, the message "Duplicate Price List ID's are not allowed." will be displayed on Save. This field is always editable from the record view.

The Price List is used as a short description and unique identifier of the Sales account.

Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFPriceListHeader.PriceListID

Price List Class

Identifies the type of transactions that each Price List applied to. This is always set to "Sales Order" or "Quick Sale" depending on the user selection for Sales Price Lists and is never editable. 

This lookup contains all the values in the MFPriceListClass Enumeration Class with an Enumeration Value of 1 or 4.

Type

Identifies the type of each Price List. This lookup contains all the values in the MFPriceListType Enumeration Class with an Enumeration Value of 1.

For a Sales Order Price List, this lookup contains all the values in the MFPriceListType Enumeration Class with an Enumeration Value of 1, 2 or 3. Once the Price List record has been created, this field is no longer editable.

For a Quick Sale Price List, this is a system assigned value that is always set to 'Standard' and is never editable.
