Improvements

Financial

NS-5477 Updated Journal Entry Lines to display in the order they were entered

Journal Entry lines have been updated to display in the same order they were added on the Journal Entry record view. To make it easier to understand, we’ve added a new column to the Journal Entry record view grid called “Seq.”. When a user adds new Journal lines, any previously saved lines will move to the bottom of the grid and new lines will be displayed at the top for easier data entry. This behavior happens already, but now we show the corresponding sequence numbers for any new lines. For example, if a user has previously saved two Journal lines (Seq. 1, Seq. 2), adding additional blank Journal lines by clicking the ‘New’ button will display Seq. numbers 3,4,5,6 and 7 at the top of the Journal lines grid. Once the record is saved, the Seq. rows will be displayed in numerical order.

Note – In an effort to keep it consistent, the Journal Lines list view and Journal Line History inquiry have also been updated to display journal lines in the same sequence the Journal line was originally entered.

Inventory

NS-5776 Item Balances List View was not taking closed Lots into account; New fields added to Lot Balances List View

We were including closed lots on the Item Balances list view which did not match the roll-up of inventory balances when users opened the Lot Details for the item. We’ve updated the Item Balances list view to only show open lots. Additionally, on the Lot Balances list view, we’ve added three new columns hidden by default: “Lot Status”, “Closed By” and “Closed Date”. Since users have the ability to Mass Update Lot Status on the Lot Balances list view, they can now also easily view the Lot Status, check who closed it, and when it was closed.

Sales

NS-5676 Added ability to prevent removing Sales Order Lines that have Allocations

Do you like it when others make decisions for you? We didn’t think so. Now you get to decide what happens when users attempt to delete inventory tracked Sales Order Lines that have already been allocated. We’ve added a property to the Sales Order Transaction Class record view called "Allow delete of inventory tracked items with allocations?". The options will include “Yes”, “No” and “Warn”. The default option will be “Warn”.

  • “Yes” allows users to delete inventory tracked Sales Order Items that have been allocated.
  • “No” displays an error message preventing users from deleting inventory tracked Sales Order Items that have been allocated.
  • “Warn” prompts users with a friendly message when attempting to delete inventory tracked Sales Order Items that have been allocated.

Bug Fixes

Fisherman Accounting

NS-5444 Disabled Currency dropdown for Fisherman, Tenders, Fisherman & Tenders, and Loan Classes and Properties

We were allowing users to assign different currencies to a Fisherman, Tender, Fisherman & Tender or Loan even though we don’t support multi currency in the Fisherman Accounting functional area. We’ve corrected this by disabling the Currency dropdown on Fisherman, Tenders, Fisherman & Tenders, and Loan record view and Classes record view. A datafix is also included to update Currency to the Home Currency on Fisherman, Tenders, Fisherman & Tenders, and Loan record view and Classes record view. The bad news is that you won’t be able to pay your Fishermen and Tenders in Zimbabwe dollars or BitCoins anymore.

Inventory

NS-5712 Duplicated values in the ‘Default Via Site for Integrated Transfers’ lookup

We inadvertently showed duplicate Sites in the “Default Via Site for Integrated Transfers” lookup on the Sites record view. No eyeglasses needed because you won’t be seeing double anymore. The duplicate values in this lookup have been removed.
