NS-5870 Created Quote-type Transaction Class Record View

This item is the first step to having fully functioning sales quotes. We have re-enabled and reconfigured the use of the quote-type transaction class that we were already shipping, but at present is disabled. Going forward, we will automatically create an inactive quote-type transaction class for each order-type transaction class that is created. A quote-type Transaction Class record view has been created to display its properties. Though most of the properties are read-only and cascaded down from the associated order-type transaction class, users may update the ‘Document Prefix’, ‘Next Document Number’, and ‘Rows to Create on New’ fields. Additionally, the order-type Transaction Class record view has 3 new fields: ‘Allow quotes for this Transaction Class', ‘Get Next Quote Number From’ and 'Transaction Class for Quotes’. And finally, users will have to ability to see quote-type transaction classes from the Transaction Class list view. Questions? There is a Help icon available on the Transaction Class record view that may be useful. We will be implementing the creation and management of Quotes in an upcoming release, so be on the lookout for that exciting feature!

Note: A datafix is included that will generate a quote-type transaction class for each existing order-type transaction class.

NS-5981 Removed Inbound and Outbound Integration Retry Period Feature

When an inbound or outbound integration transaction was in a status of “Reprocess”, NorthScope continually reprocessed the transaction every time the job was run. We’ve changed this behavior so that when inbound and outbound integration transactions are in a status of “Error”, they will remain in the same status until users Mass Update the transaction(s) to a different status.

NS-6018 Created a NorthScope Invoice for Quick Sales

We are including a Quick Sale Invoice report with this version of NorthScope. A report definition will ship with this release and will be available to deploy to the report server. Users will be able to easily print the Invoice generated from a Quick Sale transaction via the print dialog on the Quick Sale record view and the Quick Sales list view. Hope this makes you as excited as it makes us!

Fisherman Accounting

NS-5977 Payment Receipts auto created from Fisherman Sales populated GL Date incorrectly

Payment Receipts are automatically generated when a Cash/Check/Credit Card payment is entered on a Fisherman Sale. We were incorrectly using the Fisherman Sale transaction date for the GL Date on the associated Payment Receipt when the GL Date on Fisherman Sale transaction was set to be greater than the transaction date. A fix has been made to ensure the GL Date on the auto-created Payment Receipt will be the same as the Fisherman Sales GL Date so that GL balances are always accurate down to the last penny.
