NS-6225 Updated File Import to support escape characters

We love many things about our File Import functionality. However, due to the limitations of Excel, when users enter hyphens or forward slashes into a text field, Excel may interpret the value as a date. For example, the value “2-3” may be converted to the text representation date value, which displays as ”43864”. Similarly, when users enter leading zeros into a field, the leading zero may be removed. Users can now use the escape characters of “^^” to preface any values with hyphens, forward slashes or leading zeros. During the file import process, NorthScope will recognize the escape characters, automatically remove them and insert the value immediately following the escape characters.

NS-6233 Improved design of File Import dialog

We’ve redesigned the File Import dialog to be more streamlined and user friendly. Not to worry, all the functionality and buttons are still there. A new Help icon was added to navigate users to a page with additional information.

Note - Users may have to clear their cache to see the updated File Import dialog.

Fisherman Accounting

NS-6092 Removed two Fisherman Accounting Delivery Ticket Default Preferences

We’re doing some spring cleaning around here. Item Disposition and Ticket Class Delivery Ticket defaults on the Fisherman Accounting Preferences page were outdated and unnecessary, so we got rid of them. Item Disposition is always defaulted from the selected Item and users must select the Ticket Class when creating a new Fish Ticket.

Inventory

NS-6032 Updated Inventory As Of Inquiry to use master item descriptions

The Inventory As Of Inquiry was showing historical item descriptions based on the item description at the time the inventory transaction was posted. If the 'Item Description’ field was subsequently updated and a new inventory transaction was posted with the same Site, Production Batch and Warehouse Lot, then another row would be displayed on the Inventory As Of Inquiry. To avoid confusion, we’ve updated this inquiry to always display an item’s current description, not previous historical descriptions. This will avoid duplicate rows and what appear to be mismatched quantities where only the item description is different.

Purchasing

NS-5965 Fixed an issue where users were occasionally unable to void checks due to a unique key error

If you came across a unique key error while voiding checks, the issue has been resolved. More likely, if you have not come across that error then you don’t need to worry about encountering it in the future.

NS-6217 Fixed a server error issue when attempting to click an Icon before saving a Payment Receipt record

We weren’t properly handling a server error when users clicked the Print button on the Payment Receipt record view page with unsaved information. Now, we save the data for you before displaying the Print dialog box.
