NS-6401 Changed GL Account Class List View to NorthScope 3.0 Framework and added new columns

We added ‘Category' and ‘Sort’ columns to the GL Account Class List View, which has also been converted to the new NorthScope 3.0 Framework. The ‘Category’ field is required to save an Account Class. The ’Sort' column begins with 10 and increments in multiples of 10. Users may sort an Account Class in between two existing Account Classes by entering any integer between the existing sort values. For example, users may enter a Sort value of "25" if they wish to add an Account Class in between the Account Classes with a Sort value of "20" and Sort value of "30" in the same Category. On Save, the Account class with a Sort value of "25" will be assigned a Sort value of "30" and the existing Account Class with a Sort value of "30" will be assigned a Sort value of "40". Likewise, deleting an Account Class will resort the existing ‘Sort’ value for all Account Classes in the same Category as the deleted Account Class.

Note: A datafix was included to configure the 'Category' column with a value based on the value of the 'Account Class' column. However, for Account Classes that are not specific to a Category, users will need to be manually add a value for the 'Category' column.

NS-6405 Changed GL Accounts List View to NorthScope 3.0 Framework and added a new column

The GL Accounts List View is the newest member of the NorthScope 3.0 Framework. While we were giving the page a makeover, we also added a new column called ‘Category', which is required to save a GL Account. The ‘Category’ lookup relies on the user selection for ‘Posting Type’ and the ‘Account Class’ lookup relies on the user selection for ‘Category’. This means that if the ‘Posting Type’ is updated for an existing GL Account, the ‘Category’ and ‘Account Class’ fields will be cleared. Likewise, if the ‘Category’ is updated, the ‘Account Class’ field will be cleared.

NS-6945 Updated NorthScope 3.0 Framework with more accurate display of date fields

Dates are now displaying in the format specified by the user on the Date Format preference.

NS-6981 Updated New button on grids no longer save

We’re updating Record Views and List Views in the new NorthScope 3.0 Framework to be more efficient by not saving rows in the grid every time the New button is clicked. Users decide when to Save and even then, only rows that have been updated are sent to the database for faster processing. Also, users now have the option to add multiple new blank rows in a grid by clicking the New button multiple times.

NS-6989 Updated grid usability

Navigating within NorthScope 3.0 Framework grids has never been easier. Users may now tab from one row in a grid to the next row for faster data entry. For textboxes in a grid that have a default or existing value, clicking or tabbing into the field will automatically highlight the contents and allow users to simply start typing to override the existing value (without needing to delete data out of the textbox first).
