Financial

NS-3548 Added Fiscal Year Closing Process

A new feature was added to NorthScope to allow users to run a fiscal year closing process. The feature can be accessed from the Fiscal Periods list view by selecting Year-End -> Year End Close. When the process is completed successfully:

  • The Posting Status of the selected Fiscal Year is set to closed.
  • The Posting Status of the previous Fiscal Year is set to archived.
  • A Year End type Journal Entry is created to calculate the balances to be forwarded for GL accounts with a Posting Type of Profit and Loss. This journal entry is automatically posted.

Inventory

NS-3539 Added Mass Update to the Inventory Transactions List View

A new feature, Mass Update Toolbar Icon has been added to the Inventory Transactions List View.  Users are now able to update the Status of ‘New’, ‘Approved’ and ‘Ready to Post’ for selected or filtered Inventory records from the List View, using the Mass Update tool.

NS-3569 Updated Default Inquiry Criteria for Cost History Inquiry

The “Effective Date From” inquiry criteria on Cost History Inquiry was updated to default to 30 days in the past to improve the performance of the inquiry.

Logistics

NS-3590 Added Vessel Number and Container Type to the Export Details Record

The Export Details record view was updated with the following changes:

  • Added a new field Vessel Number to the header section of the record. This field is not required.
  • Added a new field Container Type to the grid section of the record. This field is not required.

Also, a new logistics note type Booking was added to note types.

System

NS-3589 Added the Weight Override Control on Sales Order Record View to Security Groups

The column Weight Override on the Sales Order Record View has been added to the System Security Groups to allow users to assign Full Rights/ Read Only/ No Rights to the column.

Sales Order

NS-3586 Added BOL and Booking Number to Shipment List View and Sales Order Shipment Inquiry

The BOL field from the Sales Order Shipment tab and Booking Number from the Sales Order Export Details have been added to the Sales Order Shipments List View and the Sales Order Shipment Inquiry.  These columns are not part of the System View.

NS-3587 Added Shipment and Export Details Navigation to Shipments LV and Shipments Inquiry

A new toolbar icon ‘View’ was added to Sales Order Shipments list view and Sales Order Shipment Inquiry. When clicked the toolbar icon displays options ‘Shipment’ and ‘Export Details’ to allow users to navigate to the transaction’s Shipment and Export Details records from the list view/inquiry without opening the transaction record.

NS-3596 Fixed an Issue with Tender Resale Transaction Voiding

Due to a bug, voiding Tender Resale transactions with multiple lines was failing. The issue is now fixed.

Sales Order

NS-3522 Fixed Save & Close Toolbar Icon when Window is Opened in a New Tab

Previously, when a window was opened in a new tab, such as the Shipment page from the Shipments tab on a Sales Order, the Save & Close toolbar icon did not close the window as expected.  The issue is now fixed.
