NS-1812 Update the File Import Process to Handle Errors More Consistently

The inventory transaction file import process has been updated. This improvement includes the following changes:

• Inventory transaction types have been separated on their own import templates. User can select the inventory transaction type and specify, if production batches are being imported alongside with the transactions.
• Production batches can be imported separately with a production batches template.
• The file is being validated as a whole. If the file has any incorrectly entered lines, the whole file import fails and none of the lines in the template are uploaded to the system. The error details explain why the import failed.
• Header and line item notes have been added to the templates.

Framework

NS-1577 Updated the Notes Dialog not to Rebind the Page

Previously, when a user opened the Notes dialog on any page, the page rebound when the Notes dialog was closed. If a user didn’t save the page before opening the Notes dialog, any edits made on the page were lost. With this change, the page where the Notes dialog is opened does not rebind when the dialog is closed and a user doesn’t have to save the page before opening the dialog.

Note: This change does not save the page before opening the Notes dialog. It rather leaves the edits intact when the Notes dialog is opened.

Inventory

NS-1789 Production Batch Class and Quality Test Class Need to Support Blank Values

Previously, the Production Batch Class and Quality Test Class menus on the Production Batch records didn’t support blank values. On the record view these fields always displayed values, though they were not necessarily assigned in the database. This improvement added blank values to the Production Batch Class and Quality Test Class menus.

NS-1794 Changed the ‘Search’ Value Not to Clear Out from the Search Box When Saved

Previously, when a user clicked Save on the Inventory Transactions’ Find Lots page, the search value was cleared out from the search box and all available lots were displayed. With this change, the page still refreshes to process the allocations and also to update the Transaction Lines field, but the search value field does not clear out.  

NS-1807 Changed Required Production Batch Attributes to be Enforced on Transactions  

Previously, any Production Batch attributes that were marked as ‘Required’ were not enforced on inventory transactions and users could post transactions without these required Production Batch attributes. This improvement enforces users to enter the required Production Batch attributes before the transaction status can be changed to Approved or Ready to Post.

NS-1871 Updated Transfer Receipt Transaction Record

The following changed were made to the Transfer Receipt Transaction Record:

• The ‘Transferred On’ date is no longer editable on the Transfer Receipt Record.
• The ‘Deliver On’ date name was changed to ‘Received On’, which is an editable field.
• Previously, users could not update the date and the transaction status simultaneously. The system required users to first save the date change and then the status change, but now both updates can be done simultaneously.
• Attributes are now transferred over to the Transfer Receipt Record from the first part of the Transfer Record.
• Export details are now transferred over to the Transfer Receipt Record from the first part of the Transfer Record.
• The ‘Received Date’ is now used as the transaction date on the Cycle Count and on the Item History and Lot History Inquiries.

Purchasing

NS-1844 Added a Feature to Auto-fill the GL Account from the Distributed To Value

Previously, all the GL account lookups were updated to filter on the ‘Use In’ account setting. This was causing issues with Purchasing Invoices when the ‘Distributed To’ was entered. This improvement auto-fills the Purchase Account based on the ‘Distributed To’ field when the invoice is ‘Distributed To’ a fisherman, tender or employee. If the line item is distributed to a project, the user must manually select the Purchase Account.

Sales Order

NS-1859 Updated Extended Amount Calculation

Previously, the Extended Amount on Sales Order Transactions was calculated based on the ordered quantities (ordered quantity * price). The calculation has now been updated and the Extended Amount is calculated using the Allocated Amount, if the item has any allocations. If the line item has no allocations, the Extended Amount is calculated based on the Ordered Amount. When the order status is changed to shipped, all line items are calculated based on the allocated quantities including any line items that have no allocations.

NS-1845 Fixed a Problem in the Exception Report that Caused Closed Exceptions to Re-open

Due to a bug, any exceptions that were closed by a user were re-opened when the Exception Report was ran again. This issue has been fixed as part of this release.

Financial

NS-1730 Fixed ‘Edit’ Toolbar Icon to Open the Selected Record

Due to a bug, an error was displayed when a user selected a line item on the Fiscal Periods list view and clicked Edit. This issue has been fixed in this release and the Edit toolbar icon opens the selected Fiscal Period record without issues.  

NS-1731 Fixed ‘New’ Toolbar Icon to Open a New Record on Fiscal Period Records

Due to a bug, an error was displayed when a user clicked new on Fiscal Period records. This issue has been fixed in this release and the New toolbar icon opens a blank fiscal period record.

NS-1866 Accounts Menu Not Populating with Active Accounts

Due to a bug, the Account Number menu was not populating with active accounts when creating new journal entries. When a user clicked the Account Number menu on a new journal entry record, a blank menu was displayed. The issue has now been fixed and the menu displays active accounts as expected.

Framework

NS-1846 Fixed Inquiry Criteria Save Functionality

Due to a bug in the latest version of the framework, the Save functionality was not working on inquiry criteria windows and this prevented users from saving customized inquiry views. This issue has now been fixed.

NS-1850 Updated the Framework to the Latest Version

The previous version of the framework had a bug with load on demand comboboxes. An error was displayed for a user, if the content of the combobox contained a parenthesis and the user tried to change the value after navigating away from the combobox. The issue is fixed in the newest version of the framework and NorthScope has now been upgraded to the latest version. This framework upgrade has no other user impact than the bug fix.

Inventory

NS-1841 Fixed Production Batch Mass Update not to Multiply Attributes

Due to a bug, the production batch attributes were multiplied when a user Mass Updated the production batch attributes on inventory transactions and the transaction had the same production batch more than once. This issue has now been resolved and the production batch attributes are no longer being multiplied.

Logistics

NS-1874 Fixed Loads LV to Allow Filtering by Load ID

Previously, the filtering by Load ID failed on the Loads List View and the page didn’t refresh the filtered results. This issue has now been fixed.

Purchasing

NS-1835 Fixed eLandings Ticket Import to Account Deleted Delivery Ticket Numbers

Previously, when a delivery ticket was imported and the imported ticket number already existed in the system, the existing ticket data was overwritten with the new data and the settlement was calculated as a delta between the old and new ticket. This was causing incorrect settlement amounts when a ticket was deleted and then re-imported. The issue is now fixed by creating a new ticket, when a ticket is re-imported.  

Sales Order

NS-1791 Fixed Mass Update for Price Lists

Due to a bug in the system, the price list mass update feature was giving users an error and the bug prevented users from mass updating prices lists. The bug has been fixed and the price lists can now be mass updated without issues.

System

NS-1725 Fixed User Deletion

Due to a bug, users could not be deleted from NorthScope. An error was displayed when the Delete button was clicked on the Users List View. The issue has now been fixed and the user deletion works as expected.
