NS-8996 – Added GL Account Parsed Segments Function for Use in Reports and Inquiries
Not every new feature we add to NorthScope is something that gets used directly; sometimes we add new features that make it easier for our Implementation and Support teams to deliver functionality that is tailored to individual NorthScope installations. NorthScope’s new GL Account Parsed Segments Function makes it easier to create reports that understand the meaning of each GL Account Segment, making reports and inquiries more capable and easier to build.

NS-12884 – Added Automatic Deletion of Search Metadata
Do you remember going to the library and using the card catalog system to find the book you wanted to read? It would have taken a lifetime of wandering the stacks to find it, but with that handy catalog reference you were able to walk directly to the shelf, grab your book, and check out in just a few moments. NorthScope’s Search Metadata feature is like your library’s card catalog, but for transaction and master file information. Sometimes information gets removed, voided, or replaced in NorthScope, and we need to make sure the Search Metadata isn’t blocking the process. We are now automatically clearing out the Search Metadata catalog entries just before transactions, transaction lines, or master file entries are removed, which makes the process faster and more reliable.

NS-12689 – Fisherman Settlement Batches No Longer Show Tickets That Are Void
As Fish Tickets are worked on in NorthScope, multiple versions are frequently generated as a result of corrections and other processes. Sometimes, the final or most recent version of a ticket becomes voided. We fixed a problem in the Fisherman Settlement Batch screen that was including Fish Ticket transactions where the most recent version of the ticket had been voided. Since we were thinking about voiding Fish Tickets, we also fixed a validation that should have been, but wasn't, prevented voiding a Fish Ticket that was on an in-progress Fisherman Settlement.

NS-12689 – Items Will No Longer Be Unexpectedly Excluded from Item Sets
Item sets are great for automatically grouping items together based on criteria you define. When a new item gets added to the system, it can automatically be included in an existing Item Set without you having to do anything extra. Sometimes, though, you need to specifically exclude an item from a particular Item Set. We fixed a bug where if an item was excluded from an item set and that Item's master file record view was opened and then saved, the item would become excluded from every item set.
