Tax Class List View: Fisherman Accounting
Tax Classes group one or more 'Tax Details' together for the purpose of calculating sales tax on Fishermen Sale and Tender Resale Transactions. Tax Classes can be manually assigned on transactions or assigned to individual Fishermen and Tenders to default on transactions. Tax is only enabled for the transactions enabled on the Fisherman Accounting preferences for: 'Enable Sales Tax on Fisherman Sales' and 'Enable Sales Tax on Tender Resales'. The purpose of this page is to add, edit, remove, and activate/inactive these records.
This master file is shared with the Sales functional area. Setting up a Tax Class here will be visible and usable on Sales transactions and customers and setting up a Tax Class from Sales will be visible and usable on Fishermen Sales, Tender Resales, and on Fishermen accounts.

Toolbar Icons | Description |

Delete | Deletes the selected record(s). When clicked, users will be prompted with: "Are you sure you want to delete the selected records?". Click "OK" to confirm, or "Cancel" to return without deleting. WARNING: Records cannot be recovered once they are deleted! |
Edit | Puts the list view in edit mode allowing all editable fields to be modified at one time. To get out of edit mode you must either Cancel or Save your changes. |
Excel | Clicking the Excel toolbar icon exports the current contents of the grid to an Excel file that is automatically downloaded. The contents that export are only those currently visible. If the grid is filtered, only the filtered contents will be exported. |
Favorites | Clicking on the star icon when it is an outline, adds the page to the 'My Shortcuts' tab and fills in the star. Clicking on the star icon when it is filled in (solid color), removes the page from the 'My Shortcuts' tab and returns the icon to an outline. Users must log out and back in before the pages will be visible in the 'My Shortcuts' tab. |
Grid Layout | Opens the Saved Grid Layout menu that allows the user to select another saved layout, create a new layout, save changes to a layout, or assign a saved layout as the default for the page. Once changes are made to a grid, such as columns are added or removed, the user can click the Saved Grid Layout icon and save the changes to the grid layout and name the new layout. The new layout can also be set as the default, instead of the System View. This is useful for creating specific views to separate master files or transaction types (i.e. Invoice specific vs. Credit Memo specific). The bolded view is the default view, which will determine the view will automatically display in when opened. |
Help | Opens the online WIKI help page for the current page. This icon is only visible on pages that are documented in the online help. |
New | Inserts blank lines that allow adding multiple new records. |

Checkbox | Used to select one or more records. |
# Tax Details | A label to indicate the number of 'Tax Details' that are assigned to the 'Tax Class'. This is a calculated field that is not editable. Unless a 'Tax Class' has at least one 'Tax Detail' assigned, it will not calculate Sales Tax. |
Applies To | A label to indicate where the Tax Class is used. This is always set to "Sales" and cannot be edited. |
Currency | The 'Currency' property on the the Tax Class record. This defaults to blank but is required and once saved cannot be edited. If missing, the message "Currency is required." will be displayed on Save. The lookup contains a blank value, the current assigned value, and a list of all the Currencies in the ERPx_MFCurrency table. Linked Database Field: ERPx_MFTaxClass.CurrencySK |
Inactive | The value from the 'Inactive' property. If set to 'Yes' then the record is "Inactive" and will not be included in look-ups for transactions or other master files. If set to 'No' then the record is "Active" and can be freely used. 'No' values display as blank in the grid. This value is only editable for records that do not have an open balance. Tax Class | A hyperlink that shows the value of the 'Tax Class' property on the Tax Class record. Clicking on the link opens the record view for the selected Tax Class. This defaults to blank for new records and is required. If not assigned, the message "Tax Class is required." will be displayed on Save. This value must be unique and If not, the message "Duplicate Tax Classes are not allowed." will be displayed on Save. This field is always editable from the record view.
