Improvements

Sales

NS-4862 Added Contract # column to the Sales Transaction Items List View

And that’s all we have to say about that.

NS-6511 Removed 'Default Ship To' column from the Customer Addresses List View

This too… I mean when we think about it, a lot of times with bugs the title says exactly what we did, should we get into a long-drawn-out description of the technical things we did to make it happen? I think that would bore everyone so we will just continue out our day and you can too while you no longer have the ‘Default Ship To’ column in the Customer Addresses List View.

Bug Fixes

Financial

NS-10712 Fixed a typo on the word 'Sixty' sometimes visible when printing checks

Ever get a check with sixty-one on it? Did that check say sixty-one? Well that’s good and that’s what NorthScope checks do but unfortunately before this release the checks would have “sixy-one”, did you catch the issue?

Fisherman Accounting

NS-9994 Fixed an issue with a field length on payments causing an error when trying to process Interest Charges for Fisherman

Does the term “String or binary would be truncated” mean anything to you? Likely not, but it means something to us. It means that we have a bug to squash and we did just that.

NS-10041 Fixed an issue with same CFECID number in NorthScope with a multi-company instance

In some cases, in a multi-company environment when the same CFECID existed in more than one company, the integration from eLandings would fail.

NS-10809 Fixed an issue with post dated Settlement batches resulting in transactions not being applied as expected

Settlement batches are a great way to pay a collection of transactions and have them applied all in one smooth process. Although this isn’t so smooth when the batch is postdated and none of the applications happen… But never fear, The Northlake Partners are here, to rid the NorthScope universe of evil bugs.

NS-10814 Fixed an issue with $0 Fisherman Sales / Tender Resales not creating Journal Line Details

All transactions that have a financial impact should create journal entries, even if they are zero-dollar journals. This was a problem for a short period of time and now things are back to the good ol’ days when transactions that are zero-dollar still generate journals.

Grower Accounting

NS-10379 Fixed an issue with decimal precision for Sample Weight Percent

When calculating the Sample Weight from the Sample Percent column, the calculation was always rounded to 2 decimals and ignored the preference value. This is no longer an issue and now your calculations can be to as many decimals as you’d like as long as it’s less than 6.

NS-10539 Fixed an issue where users were not able to delete a Field record that had attributes assigned and was not used on a Ticket

Can fields be deleted in the real world?

Inventory

NS-10826 Fixed an issue with Fixed Weight items and Unit and Weight Decimal conversions

More decimals, more problems. We found some issues with decimal places when unit decimals and weight decimals were different and primarily for fixed weight items. We tracked down all the places and now decimals are living happily and working properly within the safe confines of NorthScope.

Purchasing

NS-10403 Fixed a hyperlink issue trying to open AP Invoices/Credit Memos from the Transaction Application Details page

Hyperlinks are great tools when they work properly and totally useless when they don’t. We like things to not be useless, so we went ahead and fixed up this misbehaving hyperlink.

NS-10777 Updated the Invoice record not to automatically remove $0 line items on posting when assigned to Freight Purchase Orders

Here we go again with not much to say other than, “the title says it all.”

Purchasing and Fisherman Accounting

NS-10233 Fixed an issue where a Vendor/Fisherman Name with leading or trailing spaces would cause the Address ID not to display on Payment Batches

Not sure why a name would have leading or trailing spaces, but let’s just say this is like the warning labels on appliances, if it’s written down then it happened…

NS-10745 Fixed an issue where users would see payment batches from multiple companies

When writing payment batches sometimes you need to take a break and come back later. But when you come back, you don’t want to see what other companies within your instance of NorthScope are doing. We agree, which is why we have fixed this issue and now payment batch lookups will only contain batches for the company you are in.

NS-8556 Fixed an issue on the Vendor/Fisherman ACH List View with a validation message not displaying and the Address ID values populating multiple times. Also updated Vendor and Vendor Class on the Fisherman ACH page

The Address lookup in the Vendor/Fisherman ACH pages would open even without selecting a vendor/fisherman first, which was not very useful for companies that have generic address names like “PRIMARY.” This lookup will no longer retrieve information unless a vendor/fisherman is selected first.

Sales

NS-10375 Fixed an issue with field lengths on transactions causing the Quick Sale Line Inquiry to break

We like it when inquiries work and display all the information we want to see. We are sure you would agree with that. So, while we were in the mood of fixing bugs and taking names, we fixed the Quick Sale Line Inquiry so that it doesn’t break with long descriptions.
